News and Updates!

It’s been a while since I posted – my ‘day’ job has a few very busy times of the year.  The first week in December is one of those – then it took me a few days to recover and start to feel creative again.  But I have tons to share with you!

FirstI am hosting a work day on December 19th all day – I have moved both of the Dec. 17th classes to that day.  So anything you want to do – we can do.  I will be featuring Easy Washi Christmas Tags and some wonderful gift ideas like Shrinky Dink Earrings and Paisley & Posies Stationary.  I can also help you finish up any little project you have going.

Second – I got my Pre-order from the Spring Occasions and Sale-a-brations Catalogs!  I can’t wait to share projects with you.  The Catalogs go live on January 4th but if you want to see one – I am allowed to give you one – just come on by and I will be happy to share.  I am also allowed to share pictures of the cover and pictures of anything that I have in hand.  So here are the pictures of me unloading my order.  I will start making stuff this weekend to share with everyone!

I am super excited about the Dragonflies and Hot Air Balloon.  And look at the cute Easter set – Can’t wait to do a Shadow box Decor piece with it!  And finally a great Man set with tools!

For those of you that don’t know how Sale-a-brations works – for every $50 you spend in any merchandise – in any current catalog – you get to pick a free item from the Sale-a-brations Catalog!  And I don’t know how you can pick. There are so many cute things – a food truck stamp set – the cutest chickens you have ever seen and paper you can color!

Oh – and my favorite thing is in the Occasions Catalog – Stampin’ Up! WATERCOLOR PENCILS!   Those of you that know me, know I love my Faber Castell watercolor pencils.  Now I have pencils that match my inks and paper.

Cookie Cutter Christmas Banner

When I ordered Stampin’ Up! Cookie Cutter Christmas I immediately visualized cards, tags and Shrinky Dinks.  Then I saw a banner done as part of a blog hop – it was at Tiny Kiwi Cards by Emily Campbell (posted Sept. 4, 2016).  I can’t believe that I didn’t think of doing a banner sooner!

Here is a close up:

It uses the Candy Cane Lane DSP – which I was already in love with!  And I got a chance to use my Stampin’ Up Large Letter Framelits Dies.

Now I feel like I should go back and make one with Cookie-Cutter Halloween (hhmmmm…).

Happy Crafting everyone!

Santa’s Sleigh Shadow Box

The first time I saw the Stampin’ Up Santa’s Sleigh set I could visualize making a 3-D sleigh.  Thanks to the inspiration of Pinerest – here is a close up of mine:

The Shadow box is from Michael’s (or as a friend of mine likes to call it – The Mother Ship).  I got it for $5 on sale.  I usually buy black frames and shadow boxes but I thought that white would look better with the ‘snow’.

I hope you have enjoyed this and that it has given you some inspiration.  Happy Crafting!

“Work” Day on Nov. 21st

If you are available, come by on November 21st and enjoy an open craft (or ‘work’) day.  You can work on any project that you have going.  I will also be teaching the WOW Christmas Cards and the Christmas Box Card for anyone that wants to know how to make them.

By then I will have my New Stampin’ Up! Stitched Framelits to demo for anyone that wants to see them.  I think they will be a great addition and will give your cards and projects that little extra to get them to the next level.

I know that I can not wait until Thanksgiving break to finish up so projects that are laying around my desk.  I have some cute earrings made from Shrinky Dinks and Stampin’ Up! Cookie Cutter Christmas – I am hoping to find time to make a bracelet.  Then there is the 14 inch by 6 inch shadow box that is almost done – I couldn’t resist using Santa’s Sleigh to make a 3-D Sleigh and scenery. I will post pictures as I go to keep you all updated. 🙂
