Lift Me Up

This spring’s Occasion’s Catalog has a wonderfully versatile stamp and die set called Lift Me Up on page 10.  I will admit that I instantly knew that I was going to get this set.  The possibilities are endless – Birthdays, Valentines, Mother’s AND Father’s Day – even Baby cards!  So of course it was on my Pre-order.  But then I got it and froze.  I could see the possibilities but could not see where to start.  Then I saw a Sampler – very similar to the one pictured above – and I could not help but create it.  (In the Stamping world we call it CASEing – Copy And Share Everything.)  The credit for this idea goes to Julie Davison – you can see more of her amazing work at www.JulieDavison.com .  Her combination of the stamp set with the coordinating DSP in the Sale-A-Bration catalog was great.  I made the first one as a Birthday gift for a friend and then created this one to hang in my stamping space.  I also created a matching card:image

This Card will be a part of my Birthday Card Buffet scheduled for February 25th.  Can’t wait to see what else I can make with this set.

News and Updates!

It’s been a while since I posted – my ‘day’ job has a few very busy times of the year.  The first week in December is one of those – then it took me a few days to recover and start to feel creative again.  But I have tons to share with you!

FirstI am hosting a work day on December 19th all day – I have moved both of the Dec. 17th classes to that day.  So anything you want to do – we can do.  I will be featuring Easy Washi Christmas Tags and some wonderful gift ideas like Shrinky Dink Earrings and Paisley & Posies Stationary.  I can also help you finish up any little project you have going.

Second – I got my Pre-order from the Spring Occasions and Sale-a-brations Catalogs!  I can’t wait to share projects with you.  The Catalogs go live on January 4th but if you want to see one – I am allowed to give you one – just come on by and I will be happy to share.  I am also allowed to share pictures of the cover and pictures of anything that I have in hand.  So here are the pictures of me unloading my order.  I will start making stuff this weekend to share with everyone!

I am super excited about the Dragonflies and Hot Air Balloon.  And look at the cute Easter set – Can’t wait to do a Shadow box Decor piece with it!  And finally a great Man set with tools!

For those of you that don’t know how Sale-a-brations works – for every $50 you spend in any merchandise – in any current catalog – you get to pick a free item from the Sale-a-brations Catalog!  And I don’t know how you can pick. There are so many cute things – a food truck stamp set – the cutest chickens you have ever seen and paper you can color!

Oh – and my favorite thing is in the Occasions Catalog – Stampin’ Up! WATERCOLOR PENCILS!   Those of you that know me, know I love my Faber Castell watercolor pencils.  Now I have pencils that match my inks and paper.
